Uh-HO

From this weekend's Personality Parade in Parade magazine, Connie Han of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, asks: "On a trip to Hawaii, I was disappointed to learn that Don Ho wasn't performing. Was he ill?"

The experts at Parade offer this tidbit on Ewing Oil's Ho: "Known to millions of tourists for the song 'Tiny Bubbles,' Ho, 75, suffered from cardiomyopathy, an inflammation of the heart. In November, he flew to Thailand for experimental therapy using his own stem cells. It worked for Ho, and he's singing again at the Ohana Waikiki Beachcomber hotel."

Ho, Ewing Oils 10th round draft pick, had been selected specifically due to his heart condition. A spokesperson for Ewing Oil had this to say about Ho's apparent career revival.

"While we never like to see our players overcome odds of any sort, we certainly recognize that Ho has been a sick old man and cannot live forever. As a 10th rounder, we've invested much in Ho and do not plan on writing him off yet, despite what the pundits might say."
